Domain Registry of America Misleading domain renewal letters that fool you into thinking you need to renew your domain names with them. Ripoff

My wife got taken by these sleazebags. They lookup publicly available domain owner records for owners of domains that are due to expire.

They then send phony "renewal" looking letters just before the expiration date and play the odds that most people will fill them out and pay them without realizing that they are paying more than the original registrar would have paid and you are transferring custody of the domain to them. When my wife called she spoke to a nasty piece of work woman called Rena (or Penal couldn't quite make it out)

Anyway we are reporting them to the Buffalo better business bureau and the Feds - Given than they sent the letter across state borders there could be a case for Federal Wire Fraud.

Caution: read the really small print on the back of the forms!!
