Ripoff aol charging me for account I never set up for ripoff artists fraud

Internet & Web

I had aol over a year ago and canceled it. Now recently i get charges on my phone bill from them from them once again for 2 months of service that i should not have. So i call the company get transfered to several different departments and put on hold several different times.in the process i find out that not only had my account not been canceled as i was told that it would, but that i have a second account.

This account had a simular screen name to the one i had, and had been opened up with a bank account atm card (which turned out to be mine). At the time the account was opened my debit card had been canceled. Since they were unable to charge the card they put a charge on my phone bill for 2 months of service. This really mad me mad because i use Phone Solution Inc which does not allow such charges. Which is one of the reasons I had canceled my aol account in the first place. Now i am unable to get aol to respond back to me. Or take the charges off my phone bill.

I would really like to know how they can get away with setting up another account in my name and with my card when they never should have had the card info in the first place. Because i never gave it to them. I want the charges taken off my phone bill. I will not pay for something i never even used.

If i have too i will join some pissed off ex aol users group and sue them. Because i truely don't understand how come they have not been shut down yet.
