Beware!
I contacted JustAnswer on Thursday (10/22/09), and apprently their amounts have changed.in the horror stories I am reading some people paid $9 for advice, well today it is $28, $38 & $68. They tell you to pick an amount you believe is fair for your advice. And then they tell you you don't have to pay if you are unhappy with the advice.
So I logged in and decided to be fair and elected to pay $38. Well, make a long story short.in trying to type my question I decided based on the legal history of my case, this was not the forum for me. So I apologized and said "Sorry, but this is not the forum for me. I do not have a simple question. I am logging out. Have a nice day." That afternoon I received an email notice from Paypal providing a receipt from JustAnswers for $38! They TOOK MY MONEY, even though I did not use their service! So what part of 'even if you have a question and are unhappy/unsatisfied with the answer, you do not pay' did I miss?! Not only didn't I use their services, needless to mention select 'satisfied' at the end to issue payment (if that's how it goes), so they just totally decided to rip me (people) off and take their money for no service at all!!! I am livid. -reported them to PayPal, who refunded my money. And the Better Business Bureau reports that company as having an A rating, but when I tried to file a complaint there, it was way too complicated, so that explains their A rating. The user is locked out of the system, so their rating can never go down! (Does the BBB have stock in JustAnswer?!?!?!) Weird!
