Surplusmags.com
Provided only 1 year subscription when I paid for 2 years

Internet & Web

Hello — I paid for a 2-year subscription to The Atlantic magazine from Surplusmags.com. Yet when I received my first issue, the label indicated my subscription would expire in a year. I notified Surplusmags.com of this mistake, and was told the problem would be fixed within 4 to 6 weeks, after which I contacted the company again. No replies — and many unanswered emails. It's clear that the company is operating a "bait and switch" operation — they bait you with a low multi-year deal, yet switch you to a less costly (for them) 1-year subscription; they are counting that most people would not even notice the expiration date on their magazine label.
