Comcast has the worst customer support, the least knowledgeable tech support and they will lie at everything they can to get you to pay for their services.
We do not live in an out of the way area but availability of high speed internet is limited in our area. I only chose Comcast for a limited time offer they had that would make the service cheaper than the competitor. The sales rep lied to me over the phone about the rate that would be charged. What I was charged was not what I was quoted over the phone. I was also told that I would not be able to get high speed internet through them unless I also used the phone service they provided. Which was also a lie. I had to make numerous phone calls to supervisors and made them pull the recording of the sales call (which just about all companies do now) just to get them to honor the price they quoted me. When the technicians came out to install a phone modem and the internet service, they started by removing my satellite dish which was not even through comcast, it was through another company. Then they refused to put it back or reimburse me for the cost to have it reinstalled. They cut the cables leading into my home.
My advice is to document everything that happens with a company that you select for services, and if you have a choice, do not chose comcast!
