Comcast poor customer service (Residential) - Comcast Internet Service

I had only broadband internet service with Comcast - When it works, it's good. I have experienced increasing intermittent service over the last several months - many calls to customer service (where the greeting announces the "Customer Service Guarantee"). Usually have to go through their "Idiot's Guide to Troubleshooting" of hard booting the modem and router. To prove a point, bought new router and cabling - still have intermittent service. FINALLY got them to send a technician out (with the caveat of the $50 fee if it's not Comcast's issue). The tech messed around with cables, replaced one connector that he said was "too long" (had to find something that wasn't Comcast's issue so they could charge me). After he left - started getting signal issues with my satellite TV system. The customer service supervisor REFUSED to send the technician back out to undo what he did to the cables to mess up my satellite TV, quoting "We can't touch their cables." THEY DID, AND WOULD NOT FIX.

Cancelled my service.
