26-Inch Monitor Failed After Two Years, Not Covered by Computer Warranty

Monitor not covered under warranty with computer, always asking to extend warranty for computer never mentioned monitor. 26" Dell w2607c stopped working after 2nd year (said only covered for 1yr). I can ship back to Dell repair for $200 to $300, plus repair cost. I took it to local repair shop. They said they cannot get parts, it was made in China.
