LM Designing
Cannot meet deadlines. Prices are truly a ripoff

Here are the details of my contract: "Estimated hours: 15" "Deposit: $200" "LM Designing shall meet with Client, or agent of Client, for an Initial Design Meeting." "After the Initial Design Meeting, LM Designing will create and present to Client an Index Comp."

1. A fifteen-hour workload took four months to complete. We signed the contract on November 19. The work was completed on March 20.
2. They did not charge me a $200 deposit. They charged me the full rate, $399, up front.
3. I did not have an "initial design meeting." A cell phone call while the designer is at a conference doesn't count.
4. I never received an Index Comp.

Not once did anyone return my phone messages. Not once. Even when I sent this email, "We need to have a fifteen-minute phone conversation to assess the remaining work. It's been three months since we signed a contract
which has an estimated work load of fifteen hours. Call me please. I am not happy about the way this is going.", I received this the next day: "Please call me when you get a moment...". She's got an angry and unhappy client and won't deign to pick up the phone herself?

The bottom line: I paid a total of $650 for six web pages which took four months to complete. This company is overpriced ($65/hour or $100/page) and cannot manage their own workload in a timely manner. Check out the level of competition on www.odesk.com and tell me if this company can keep charging their prices for shoddy and incomplete workmanship. Lisa Munoz, the designer, still owes me a page. I don't care. She wins. I'm out of patience.
