Retailer is selling used systems as new

A month ago, I walked into Simply Mac excited about the new system that I was about to purchase. For those that are not aware, Apple computers are suppose to be the cream of the crop.in other words, you are not suppose to experience issues with a system that you would normally go through with a PC. That is not what I was in for, the first system that I purchased had two issues, the period key did not work and my iSight web cam failed to work right out of the box. My wife insisted that I return the computer, I was reluctant because I am sick of PC's and all of their kinks. I did take the system back and they exchanged it for what was suppose to be a new replacement. The replacement system had multiple scratches on it and the battery performance was also in question for what was suppose to be a brand new computer. I took it back and ask for a refund and they refused. Their policy states that you can return an item within 30 days of purchase. They would not honor their own policy. I went to the manufacturer and they exchanged the system without hesitation. Furthermore, I was told by a rep from that Apple store in SLC that a system two weeks old should not have this much wear and tear on it.

By the way, after my scond trip to Simply Mac I realized that multiple customers were at the store for technical issue. I might be wrong, but Macs are suppose to be very dependable systems. I bought one 8 years ago and never had an issue with it as opposed to the multiple PC's I have gone through. For some reason, I am not all that excited even about the replacement that I was given by the manufacturer. The battery life does not last as long as they advertised it for and I just feel like I threw $1700 away.
