Refuse to refund deposit

I've approached the corporation to get a site design. They decided to develop a site for me personally for $1350 and requested to get a deposit 0f 450.00 that we settled exactly the same time. After I recognized the site wasn't being produced after 3 months, I requested for my money-back to ensure that I really could visit a diverse organization. They declined to return my deposit underneath the pretext they often request 1 / 2 of the total amount and since my 450 was significantly less than 50% of 1350 they CAn't reimbursement my income.
