Unauthorized cell phone charges

My mother-in-law is on our AT&T Wireless family plan. She received four txt messages on 12/19, then on 12/20 the wonderful Cylon LLC charge appeared on our cell bill for $9.99.

AT&T Wireless was excellent in removing the subscription and comping us $20 for our trouble. We also had our phones blocked for txt messages as we don't us it.

The really heinous part of this scam is that you can't even figure out who the heck Cylon is from the charge on the phone bill. Only by searching the internet did I find this site with all of these other complaints about this company. AT&T was also able to tell me that it was gamer-data.com but no phone number.

Watch your phone bill; reject unknown txt messages or block them all together; and be sure to let your state's attorney general know as well (usually under your state's DoJ website).
