HUGE Comcast broadband ripoff!

If you have broadband internet from Comcast there is a likely chance your are getting ripped off! If you run connection speed tests and check those results against the speed Comcast advertises and charges you for you end up with a huge difference in what you get versus what you are paying for.in many cases the downside speed is way less then what you are supposed to get.
I recently signed up for Comcast's 16 meg Blast service but I only average about 8 meg on the downside instead of the 16 meg.

I have made numerous calls to Comcast to get this fixed and all I'm getting is excuses, imcompent techs and useless Indian call centers.

I have the proof the Comcast is either unwilling or unable to provide the service contracted for. I gave a reporter, Jenni Vincent, from the local newspaper, Journal-News here in Martinsburg, WV a first hand demonstration of Comcast's poor service.
This issue still isn't resolved. I'm notifying the Media, WV State AG's office and anyone I can to warn about this huge Comcast ripoff.

Sad but many Comcast broadband customers are getting ripped off and don't even know it. Why? How? Because most computer users aren't computer literate and wouldn't have a clue of how to run a speed test or understand the results.

I'm no networking guru by any means but I'm computer literate enough to be a nitemare for Comcast.

I'm going to re run those tests tomorrow on both Ubuntu Linux 8.04 and XP Pro and make those results available on my blog as well.
