Michael T. Glaspie is a liar and scam artist, good at ripping people off!

Internet & Web

On July 1 I responded to an email and sales letter landing page from Michael T. Glaspie DBA Bannersgomlm.com that promised a custom designed banner ad placed on 60,000 web sites (impressions) and guaranteed 5,000 "hits" per month. "Hits" means "clicks" on your ad that takes them to your web site.

All this was to be set up on autopilot by Bannersgomlm.com personel and was to send massive amounts of targeted traffic to my web site for the sum of $57.47 monthly with the first month free, cancel anytime. Of course the fine print required a 30 day advance notice to cancel and prevent further charges which meant they were going to charge you for the free month if you cancelled any time in the first 30 days.

So Mike lied about the free month! What he was really doing was collecting at the end of the billing period instead of the beginning. There was no free month possible, given the 30 day advance notice in the fine print.

They did create their "kick butt" banner ad and emailed me a copy. After a week of no hits on my web site I decided I should contact them to see what the problem was. I could not find a support email address or a phone number for support. I did notice the emails sent to me previously came from "support@bannersgomlm.com" so I used that to submit a support ticket.

A week went by and no response! Sent another support request, a few more days pass and no response! Then sent third support ticket with "Cancel cancel cancel" in the subject line requesting that I be removed from all their lists and membership groups. Continued to get new offer emails but no response to the support requests.

At the end of thirty days I had zero hits of the promised 5,000, no responses to my support requests, but oh yes, they did manage to charge my account the $57.47 as promised and continued to send "new scam" offers.

They made one mistake though! They sent me a new offer for their latest scam and it included their corporate phone number, so I used it to call support.

Explaining to them that 30 days had passed with no hits on my site and no response to support emails, I would like to cancel my membership/subscription and asked to have the current charge reversed as the first month was supposed to be free. I was told in a rather loud, argumentive tone and I quote "You are now cancelled but you do have to pay one charge of $57.47"

When I objected to the charge the voice got louder and nastier and said "What do you think, we would let you benefit from a whole month of our advertising for you with no charge? I responded with "Now I understand" and hung up to call my credit card company and write this report.

Mike not only lied about the free month but also lied about the 60,000 impressions and the 5,000 hits and didn't have b—ls enough to answer the support requests because he knew he had no answers except that he scammed me! Besides, he was very busy scamming other honest folks!
