They don't deliver as promised

I paid $39.95 for digital access to Sins of a Solar Empire and received an e-mail message containing a download for their installation software, a patch for the game, and then a convoluted, non-working procedure for accessing a site for the game's download.
After spending two hours pouring over their 'procedure' and trying to get it to work, I gave up and sent a scathing e-mail demanding a refund. I contacted their sales department the following day during their lame operating hours of 9:00 to 4:00 (while normal people work for a living), and they offered only a 75% refund.
How is that fair? I paid them the full amount without the desired outcome. They did not meet their end of the deal. They offered technical support, but I simply wanted a refund and wanted to part ways and to forget about the whole thing. I didn't pay for technical support. I didn't pay for their FAQ page. I didn't pay for their spam software which must be loaded in order to receive the digital download. I didn't pay for their Knowledgebase Forum access. I paid for a game, which I did not receive.
After explaining this to the woman, she still only offered technical support or 75% refund which I then told her to screw herself, but in a more profane manner and told her I want all of my money back. She then hung up; they don't return e-mail messages, they won't answer their phone, and they took my money and will not return it. That's stealing.
I have canceled my bank card over this because if they're going to act in a childish manner and won't refund my money, I simply can't trust this operation. I have also reported them to the FTC.
