Optima Healthcare Products has a very elaborate, yet simple, scam to fleece companies

We are an internet company selling electric heating products and we were also a victim of Optima Healthcare Products, Inc., 300 Cypress Ave., Unit A, Alhambra, CA 91801. We verified their trade references and got responses before we gave credit terms. Now we know they were imposters. I do have phone and fax numbers; people now answer the phone and dont know anything about the business that was used as a reference.

They had a computer generated PO and fax letterhead. Everything seemed to be fine. The only thing I questioned was the Federal Tax # 95-4716387. I had never seen one that began with 95.
