Charging my credit card after cancellation San Francisco California

I too have fallen victim to PeoplePC. After cancelling my service, they continued to charge my credit card for three more months. When I attempted to resolve the issue, they said their records show I asked to extend my service, not cancel it. I cancelled my service because I moved to an address where we do not even have a phone line for dial-up.

When I contact them via email, they say I can only have the charges reversed by talking with someone on their 866-PPC-MBRS phone line. When I contact them on that number, they tell me the issue can only be resolved via email. This has gone back and forth six times now. The guy I got on the phone today "Adam" began yelling at me and telling me I have no chance for a refund, so quit trying. When I asked for customer service in the USA, he said he couldn't connect me to San Francisco because he was in India. So I asked for the phone number, and he told me he couldn't give it to me, and told me again that I wasn't going to get a refund anyway.

Beware of PeoplePC and make sure to get a cancellation # if you do try to cancel.

When contacting my credit card to get these charges deemed fraudulent, the first thing they asked for was the cancellation # from the original call. I let her know that their tactics of making it all but impossible to obtain that # seemed to be a common practice after reading everyone else's problems on this and other sites. The verdict is still out with my card (40 -60 days for a decision), but I took the time to post this after getting yelled at today.

I have found supposed USA contact numbers on this and other complaint -oriented sites, but they all appear to not be working. I have also contacted my Attorney General and forwarded them all of the email correspondences. Even if it doesn't get me anywhere, it will still add to the number of complaints they must get regarding this company's tactics.
