Ripoff Ignored Cancellation

Sent cancellation notice to PeoplePC on 7/12 via email. Response from PeoplePC on 7/12 was that a representative would contact me. I noticed a charge on my card on 7/23. I called PeoplePC. They were extremely rude and said the cancellation was invalid due to not be made via telephone. My complaint is if they sign you up via the web, they should be able to cancel via the web as well. Also, regardless of TOS, they acknowledged the cancellation email and said a representative would contact me. Had a rep contacted I would have told him/her that indeed I want to cancel. PeoplePC has charged me for a month of service I will not use and charged it to me after I cancelled. They refused to refund the money so I am filing a dispute with my credit card company. My recommendation is that no one do business with this company.
