In 2005 sold me a faulty pavilion ze 2000 laptop and discontinued manufacturing parts for this lemon

Internet & Web

Warning to anyone considering purchasing an HP Laptop: DO NOT... That is unless you enjoy being treated like a schmuck. I know because I was. I believed in the customer service and satisfaction doctrine that Hewlett - Packard smathered all over their internet ads and products. I used to really like their printers so when they started manufacturing computers—specifically laptops, I thought I would try them.

I purchased directly from them on the internet a HP PAVILION ZE 2000. What a horrible and pricey mistake! I paid $1,200 in august. Within the first 30 days the machine started acting up. The battery would overheat and the alarm went off. I would contact them and the support help (who by the way, clearly needs help in English and needs to remove their chauvinistic attitude toward women... Hint India..) and would instruct me to remove THE battery and try again. I noticed the screen would constantly flicker like a florescent light. This isse NEVER stopped.

The machine couldn't decide whether it was accepting ac or batteries and the icon would switch back and forth and eventually the battery would drain and the machine would not reboot off of the ac. After 3 months of having the keyboard heat up and freeze and the alarm shrilling I got frustrated and demanded a new computer. HP REFUSED!
THEY HAD ME TAKE IT to their authorized repair shop. At that time Radio Shack in the mall, and they would ship it out. I made sure to sign the receipt that I would NOT PAY for ANY REPAIRS on the Radio Shack receipt.

Low and behold that caused problems. Because two weeks later while in the care of radio shack or hp... Somewhere in their care they tell me the computer has gotten wet and they are not responsible for repairs. Needless to say i was livid. What scam artistry.

So I fought. I went up the ranks and contacted the GREAT WALL OF CORPORATE HP hiding behind that wall are all of those executives that were too busy spying on each other to return my calls but eventually HP picked up the tab and sent me back a REBUILT MODEL. OFCOURSE I paid for a NEW computer with my $1,200 but now I had god only knows what! The screen continued to flicker so I went out and purchased a new chord connecter at the tune of $125.00.
The computer is filled with problems but I noticed I could not restore my system to an earlier time and the reason being because the hard drive is damaged from sector 2-7.

I investigated replacing the hard drive and went to every shop but not one of them had a hard drive them would accomodate the HP SPECIAL HARD DRIVE. I contacted HP and again much to my surprise they sell hard drives but NOT FOR MY MODEL!!! IMAGINE MY SURPRISE. My computer is such a lemon hp doesn't even make the part only 1 online company sells the hard drive and that cost... Are you ready is five hundred and seventy nine dollars $579!!! Can you imagine that???
you tell me consumers... Do you really want to consider an HP COMPUTER?

You know I could UNDERSTAND a company who CAN admit they made a horrible mistake and made a lemon and MAY want to sweep it under the rug but NOT WITHOUT CARING FOR THE CONSUMER WHO GOT BURNT FROM THEIR MISTAKE AND unfortunately that person is me! GOODBYE HP. You just lost a customer to your competitor. Hello mac.
