Dude. You're NOT getting a Dell!

I ordered a $3000 computer from Dell in early October.

First, they told me... Only when I called, that they'd canceled my original order because they were not making the 4500 any more and had gone to the 4550. When were they going to let me know? I let this go and reordered, the price was still the same.

Then they assured me on two occasions that they could deliver it to the address I was moving to on October 25th and that they would not ship it before I moved. I also signed up for their online "order watch" just in case they accidently shipped it early. With order watch they are supposed to email you just before they ship your order.

On October 18th, I went into the system to look at something for a friend... Only to discover they'd shipped my order on October 16th to an address I wouldn't live in for another week! Needless to say, I did not receive the promised email.

I've been calling every few days ever since trying to get my computer. I've been lied to, promised calls that never came, promised resolutions they never initiated, and told by a supervisor that they couldn't do anything about replacing the missing computer until USPS found the original because the USPS had denied their claim for it.

They also would not cancel my order and refund my credit card unless I called back the next day because their system was down. I asked the supervisor to have someone call ME back since I'd already called them 9 times at that point with no satisfaction. He absolutely refused.

I've had that $3000 charge on my credit card since 10/16... It's now 11/10, nearly a month later, and I don't have my money OR my PC... And no hopes of seeing either anytime soon.

To add insult to injury, they've told me I was lying, told me I was not listening, and they implied I was stupid on several occasions... Half of their customer service reps were downright rude!

Dude... You don't WANT to get a Dell!
