RIPOFF Dell the dishonest company

I purchased a 2400 personal home computer system from Dell on 2/18/05. I decided however that I no longer wanted the system and before the item was actually shipped out to me I requested that the order be cancelled. I was misinformed by a rep from Dell who stated that the order had already shipped when In fact it did not ship out. The result was I had to wait until the system made it to my home and that took 3 days and refuse the package.

Once the package was refused it sat at UPS an additional 3 days and then it was returned to dell factory in Texas which then took another 5 days. Dell aknowledged receiving the two packages on 3/11 & 3/14. It was then that I began calling about my refund of the system. I spoke to about 10 different customer care reps who gave me false stories about how long my credit would take to process. Some said 7-15 days, some said 3-5 day and even one rep said 1-2 days.

I have been emailed case numbers that can verify this. I was told recently by a care rep that my credit would be issued at the close of the bus day and called the next day to find out it would actually take 5-7 more days and this information was obtained because I asked to speak to the reps supervisor. He assured me that each rep I talked to misinformed me from day one. So I guess they told me things just to give me the run around about my credit. It's unfortunate because as their supervisor that's an indication of the work he is doing.

So you see my frustration with this company. This company is dishonest and in my opinion they don't really care about the consumers that purchase their equipment. They are taught to buy time instead of doing their jobs. I would not recommend this company to anyone who expects their situation to be handled properly.
