First of all, the Magic Jack is considered to be a Beta application, meaning they haven't worked out all of the kinks. And it does have it's kinks.

Whenever I restart my computer, I have to hit F10 repeatedly, before the system will even boot, and then I have to boot it from the BIOS menu.

Also, you cannot log off or shut down your computer if you want phone service, but I put a password on my screen saver.

I continuously check the Web site about local access numbers, and the one in my area always says 'pending' for three months now, which leads me to wonder, maybe they'll never get a local area code for me.

Their live chat is a joke. If the person you are chatting with gets stumped by your queries, they will conveniently disconnect the chat session, and then you have to wait for another one to help you, sometimes up to an half an hour.

I feel sorry for the man who bought the so - called 'Platinum' five year service. I only ordered it for a year, but if you weren't careful, on the Web form it sneakily checks the box for two years service for an extra $19.95.

They may eventually work the kinks out, so hold off on purchasing
