Fraudwire slower than dial up at double the price

We had clearwire for a year and a half and nothing but constant fighting with customer service in trying to resolve the issue... Time out, lost connection, server not responding. The 4:30 dead time every day that they claim was impossible or that it was user traffic on the internet. Forced to purchase the "clear plugs" at $70 each that would resolve the issue... Did nothing..

Tech support would have me run all over the house with the modem to get a clear signal. This procedure does not work or accomplish anything. I am 1 and 1/2 miles from the signal tower which I can clearly see from the up stairs window, and they want me to find a better area to place the modem for a stronger signal. The roof maybe?

They would check my signal from NY and I am in WA, and tell me I have a good signal... Updates would take a hr or more (like dial up)

Having to call customer support 1,2, 3x's a month because the system was down, slow or dead for 2 or 3 days, with no explaination or refund for loss service. Repeated attempts to cancel the contract which they claim would cost a cancelation fee of $180. Or the remainder of the contract.

Failure to provide the service that is contracted for and is promised in advertisement/sales promotion should cancel the contract to my mind. I did not get what I paid for at all!

Failure / refusal to provide paper billing... Demanding that payment can only be done through direct debit of a checking account.By this action Clearwire has triple dipped my account, double dipped acct... Each time there has been a fight to get the money returned and I have had to cancel my debit card and redo the account because of their business practices..

Finally was able to find someone to buy the remainder of the clearwire contract in Jan... Was overjoyed to call clearwire and cancel the service... Was checking my bank acct today (03/10/08) and saw that clearwire had debited my account when they were canceled and done in Jan!

Have filled out papers at the bank again regarding clearwire...

Have been on the phone again with Clearwire... No, I do not have the modem info. I gave that piece of junk back to Clearwire... Do I have the acct info... No, the acct was closed in Jan for crappy service...

My son was tech support for clearwire for a short time a few years ago and as a computer geek would go to dial up before going back to clearwire...

I would like to get the $ back that was wasted for at least one year of the almost 2 years of crappy service, and the money spent on the modem and those clear plugs... That will never happen... They are fraud wire... They do not provide any type of service, just aggravation...

And the refusal of paper billing I find a problem... The service is so crappy and they "claim" to send an e-bill to the "myname@clearwire" acct and/or "someone@ whateveracct" why was it never there to be viewed? If you can not get online how do you see the bill? How do you prove that you have a bill?

They have your bank info an take the $ and run...

Very bad service and very bad customer support, local offices only sell but do not offer any type of help..
