Innovative Merchant, Intuit, Quickbooks
Unethical contract Calabasas, California, 91302Calabasas, California

Internet & Web

I signed up with a company called Leasecomm many years ago when I was attempting to set up a website. They pointed me towards Innovative Merchant Solutions as a credit card processor (from this experience, I NEVER say yes over the phone anymore). At the time, I didn't have much time to work on my store and did very little business. But since I signed a 5 year lease with Innovative, I stuck to it. After all, even if I made a mistake, I still signed a contract. At the end of 5 years, I stated that I did not want to renew the contract. But buried deep in the contract in legalese it stated that even if I did not renew the contract, I would still be responsible for paying over $300 to terminate it.

So Leann, it seems to be your job to comment for the company. How do you spin this one?
