Stamps.com
Online Postage Company Charges for Cancellation They Penalize for cancelling a service you pay for but don't use! Ripoff

Internet & Web

I signed up for stamps.com in November. I only used the service one or two times to print a couple of stamps... The last time I used this service was in March.

I just noticed that they were charging my account a $15.99 monthly fee this morning so I decided to call and cancel my subscription. (I have paid approximately $144 for a service that was the equivalent of my walking into the post office and purchasing a couple stamps from the vending machine.)

Upon my cancellation the company charged me an Additional $15.99, on the same day they charged the other $15.99 fee. I called back and the representative stated that today started a new month and this is a flat, un-prorated fee that is not refundable. I asked him whether it would have been charged if i'd called last night and he stated "no." I asked him to look at the useage history on my account and he saw there was no use in 4 1/2 months... Yet the company still refused to credit the $15.99 they had just charged. I did not even quibble about the original $15.99 fee they'd charged for last month when I didn't use the service, but a charge for a month of service when the service was cancelled before the month even got underway-that is a RIP-OFF!

I asked them to credit this amount for customer satisfaction, they apparently do not care for that and refused therefore I will post my dis-satisfaction everywhere I can and I will tell as many people as I am able about my Horrible experience with Stamps.com.
