The Computer Repair People
They took my computer to diagnosis problem, never returned it, gave refund or reimbursed me for missing computer! Ripoff

In August we called this company to diagnos a problem we were having with the monitor of our Toshiba Satellite 1135 Notebook computer. The computer itself worked fine, but the monitor needed replacing. When give the cost of replacing the monitor we decided that we did not want it fixed, but would hook it up to an extra monitor and let our children use it.

Well to this date, March 21, we have still NOT received our computer back! We have called this company at LEAST 20-30 times! In the beginning I talked to a manager named Mike, he knew exactly what we were talking about and told us he would get our computer back to us. Well Mike is no longer with the company.

Every time we call we ask to speak to a supervisor/manager, to date, we still have not been able to speak to one. We have left so many messages, that is was getting to be a joke to see how many times we could call. We NEVER got to talk to anyone except the answering service or receptionists!

We were even questioned by the receptionist/servic about the technician, was it really their company who came to our home, etc. Trying to shift the blame on the missing computer. We are positive that it was this company! Our American Express was charge $107 on 8/31/06 saying "The Computer Repair People, Matawan, NJ". We even have a message on our answering machine (yes, we kept it!) asking us if were satified with the serice! How is that for a joke!

We tried to be nice the first 10-15 calls, but our patience has worn very thin! We even sent them a letter to both their local and NY office and still recieved no response.

We just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and we want everyone to know how awful this company is!

In a perfect world we would have received the diagnostic fee of $107, plus the cost of replacing the computer. (We looked on ebay and the same computer with the same problem as ours was selling for $250) But alas, we could not even get a reply call!
