Fraudulent Chargeback on Craigslist Phone Sale, $460 Pulled

I sold a phone through Craigslist and used PayPal as a means of getting the funds. The individual got the phone and then made a fraudulent chargeback. PayPal said to wait 10 days for their investigation, and they tried to take the 460 dollars out of my bank accounts before the 10 days were up. Luckily, I cancelled my accounts, foreseeing that they would do this.

Now they are trying to collect the money from innocent people that I did transactions with, sending them emails regarding funds that I proved were unauthorized. Now I have a man from California saying that if I do not pay him in 72 hours he will report me to the police and deactivate the phone I bought from him.

I thought they were really investigating and would find this person, and that I would be able to open my own investigation, but they were just conning me in order to steal my money out of my accounts. PayPal is the sleaziest company I have ever dealt with. They sent me an email to confirm my Social Security number and sensitive information, just so they can proceed to ruin my credit. I have news for you, PayPal: stop slandering my name and telling people I use stolen credit cards!
