AOL Shop Direct
Is a deceptive ripoff company that abused & mistreated me

AOL Shop Direct gives false information. They do not respond, they send items by mistake, they refuse to refund the shipping and handling charges:

I had ordered the Lexmark 63 All in one printer from a pop-up add on AOL Shop Direct. They advertised it as billing in increments. I had no intention of paying with a credit card but they tried to put it through on a card that was maxed out and they sent me an e-mail saying the order was canceled due to lack of funds.

I e-mailed back and told them that was fine. A week later the printer is sitting on my deck. They had mistakenly delivered it anyway. I contacted them via e-mail and told them of their mistake. The response I got was unbelievable. They told me to pay them $199 immediately or they would take me to the collection agency!

I informed them that it was their mistake and I was writing to them in good conscience to ask them how to take care of it and send it back. They told me to send it back and the Shipping and Handling charges would be reimbursed. I sent it back and the charges were $23 which I FAXED to them.

I called to confirm how that would be credited to me and they told me it had been denied and they weren't responsible for me sending it back. I have e-mailed them numerous times prior to all of this as well as filled out customer service surveys and today I even talked to a supervisor to no avail. They either do not respond or give me false and misleading information.

I will never do business with this company again. Not only do the pop up advertisement solicit and annoy me but now I really feel ripped off. They know nothing of customer service and I would warn anyone from buying anything from AOL Shop Direct in the future as you will have one heck of a time communicating with them. The company is rude and ruthless when it comes to doing business. Beware.
