Aol
Ripoff tried canceling several times kept charging my bank account overdrew it and no help given

Internet & Web

We signed up for the free 30 days for the AOL service due to the cable ISP we were using were having difficulties. We tried on several occasions to cancel the service. For some apparent reason they claimed we were in a contract and they could not cancel the service, they they said they would cancel it. (we had not used it but for about a week).

The charge kept hitting my sisters bank account and since it was not something she thought she was getting billed for. They submitted payment to her account somewhere in the ball park of 8-10 times. Each time is there were not funds for it and the bank charged her an NSF fee of $30.00 per time. Since the account ended up with all those charges, the account got closed and she received notification from her bank that AOL again was trying to process payment.

This has been going on since, I believe, November. This company is a joke, there customer service department or lack there of customer service does nothing to assist you. I will never again try AOL and have since had several of my friends and family cancel their service due to these practices.
