Ripoff Unable to Deliver - Unwilling to validate address with DHL

What should have been a simple online transaction has turned into yet another buy.com nightmare.

1) I order a gift for my niece and have it shipped to her home.
2) Buy.com accepts the order, and it shows shipped right away.
3) Tracking with DHL online seems to show it is enroute
4) Tracking with DHL now indicated "UNDELIVERABLE AS ADDRESSED"

So, I call DHL only to be told that they can't really give me any information as I'm not the shipper. After some prodding, a very helpful DHL rep informs me that the address must be wrong and that the package will ultimately be returned to Buy.com.

As much as DHL would like to review the address with me, they can't. I understand this - but it seems like it would be so much easier if Buy.com had indicated my name somewhere on the airbill so that DHL would review it with me.

Check further on the DHL website shows the street information is missing on the airbill, yet it is clearly listed on the order with Buy.com.

Search all over the internet for a phone number for buy.com. Find the number listed in another rip off report (THANKS!)

Call 877.780.2464 which is answered by "Murphy" in India. He's unwilling to get a manager, not authorized to contact DHL, and suggests I wait until Buy.com gets the package back from DHL.

So much for Christmas for this child, as this was one of the "hot" items and now is difficult to find - if at all.

All in all, Buy.com has been of no help, and can't seem to understand that if they simplyu contacted DHL, we might be able to have this shipment verified and resent to the correct address - - before DHL sends it back to the sender.
