Internet & Web

My situation isn't nearly as bad as all the other stories, but it still was a pain in the butt and time wasted. FALSE ADVERTISING is the name of my game. I had bought the notebook for my boyfriend, a total computer geek, and thankfully he found out the true specifications on the notebook. The front side bus on the computer, stated on the ShopNBC website and repeated words out of Jim Petersons mouth, were 533MHz. After going on to Intel.com, the maker of the processor, and researching it, the total MHz that the processor could run was only 400MHz. Now it isn't a huge thing, but knowing that someone lied to you, after you (well I was suckered in) hearing so many good things off the tv, which by the way, was a good notebook if it had all the true specifications on it.

After I had questions about why they would do that, I called customer service for V2Premier. After going through 5 different people (in which didn't know squat about computers), and an hour for being placed on hold, I got to talk to a supervisor. He pretty much me that I was wrong, even though I had the report to prove it, and told me he couldn't do anything for me, that I should call ShopNBC, and also gave me a address for Jim Peterson and told me to write a letter to him because he "didn't deal with that in his department." After knowing that I wasn't dumb enough to write a letter and wait for reply or waste anymore energy and fustration on this, I went online to research about the 'Oh so wonderful' V2 Premier. After reading all the posted problems by previous buyers and all the reports on the Better Businees Bureau, I wasn't taking any chances with their product.

I called up ShopNBC and had them refund me the money and they also agreed to pay my shipping. I will NEVER buy from Viscom or ShopNBC for that matter. So my advice is, stay away from "deals" from places like Viscom or ShopNBC. And even though computers may be expensive, it's totally worth your money to buy a good one. Hope this helps someone out. Hopefully one day someone will stop this company of ripping people off with bad products and false advertising.
