Misleading add for FREE 30 Day Trial, automatic withdrawal of $65 from my bankcard www.enzyte.com

I took the bait because of their 30 Day Free trial and today (5/15/04) my bank statement indicated that a process fee of not only $4.50 (for shipping) but also $65.45 for automatic enrollment in Managed Care Direct. I had failed to read all the fine prints about MCD (quite the intent of the company).

After going back to the website and reading it cafefully I can honestly say that anyone can fall for this scheme. Quite clearly on the web orderform there is a statement that reads:

"With your order, you also receive free and automatic enrollment in Managed Care Direct."

Later on in the MCD paragraph it contradicts the above statement with:

"All free offers, as well as other clearly marked Managed Care Direct offers, include automatic enrollment in our Managed Care Direct Program. You will receive a new 60-day cycle of Enzyte approximately 5 days before your current cycle runs out. Your credit card will be billed the Managed Care price of only $70.00 on the day product is shipped, unless you cancel before the date of shipment."

My free shipment was received on 4/24/04. I was billed for MCD on 5/15/04 which evidently is more than 5 days before 30 day supplie runs out. So they chose an earlier ship date before I can even cancel in time within the 25 day time frame.

Anyway, I will certainly take this up with me bank coming this Monday.
