Refuse Refund

In early March I went to the Eye Site to have an eye examinationfor some new glasses. They did the examination, changed my prescription and ordered new glasses. Charged my $140, oowhich I paid that day. When I got the glasses about a week laterthey just didn't work for me. I couldn't read with them or work onthe computer so I called and they had a different doctor which I don't think was qualified to do eye exams but he changed the prescription again and when I got those glasses they were worsethan the first ones. So I called and asked for a refund so I couldjust go somewhere else and they said they would give me a refundbut I never heard from them, so I called again and they said theywould send me a check. Never got a check and this went on forseveral weeks and finally I just stopped in one day and asked formy check. Adam St. James was hateful;, rude and very unprofess-ional and said there was no refund for the exam and he would have to take the lens out in order to give me $80.00 and I told himI had to have some kind of glasses for social reasons. They calledwhen I got home and told me they would call and get my oldprescription and put them in my frames and I said ok. I just needed some glasses but when I asked for the $80.00 for myold lens they refused. So bottom line is I have a pair of glassesthat I walked into their store with and paid them $140.00 for. I don't think this is right. I think I should have a refund for the$140.00. They got the prescription wrong and made the glasseswrong and I don't think I should have to pay for them. I'm just going to have to go somewhere else and start all over again. I am a 76 yr old widow and don't have the money to pay for theirmistake. Would appreciate any help you can give me.
