Electric Beach Tanning Studio
Signed me into a contract he lied about, wouldn't let me cancel, stole my money

Health & Medicine

Electric Beach Tanning, owned by Jason Terry, told me that with $99 down I could open up an account, with the first month free, and every month after that for $42 per month. He just said "sign here and here" and swept me off into a room. Very high pressure sales too. A few days later I noticed on my credit card he charged me $156. I called him and asked about the mistake - he told me it was an "administrative fee" and that there's nothing he could do about it.

I asked to cancel and he said he would only let me out if I paid the $156. This went on for the next two weeks. I came in person several times and each time he became angry with me, gave me the middle finger (yes the owner) and kicked me out. The contract automatically was billing my credit card and was reporting to my credit.

Finally I just paid the $156 and he wrote by hand on a contract that all of my obligations were met and that I owned nothing more and that the contract was canceled. A few weeks later the charges re-appeared on my credit card. I called him, he would just place me on hold and hang up. Then he would answer again and just threaten to call the cops - as if I did something wrong. This guy is a body builder and is very intimidating and several times explicitly told me off and flicked me off - in front of his own customers! I don't know what to do! He took advantage of me and is stealing my money! My fiance's sister is having the SAME problem.
