CVS customer service - Store Security

The CVS Pharmacy I use has a big problem. The security devices stationed at the enterance does not work, so they hired a overzealous rent-a-cop, and require people with backpacks (or any other suspect
baggage) to check it behind the counter. At one point
I spoke to the manager about this and he explained to me that vandalism had gotten out of control, so he was force to impose this measure.

My problem is that CVS is only retail store, that requires customers to check their bags. I can go into Walgreens with a backpack, a shopping bag, a duffle bag, whatever. Once, I was asked to check my bag at Walgreens, and I walked out.
Today, I was asked to check my bag at CVS, and I walked out. That's the last time I'll use CVS
