Professional Fitness
Customer NO service at it very best

My daughter signed up with Professional Fitness at Golds Gym in Wilmington, NC. For the same reason a lot of folks do, to lose weight and be motivated to do so. She reports her trainers were great, but the parent company "Professional Fitness" leaves a lot to be desired. She knew what she was getting into when she signed the contract. However, a better job change came along so she is moving to California. She contacted PF about the change and they reported they don't have a facility where she is moving to for her to continue training under the contract. So, she asked to cancel the contract under thier guidelines and what did she need to do. Since this was a job change with no permanent address at present to move to, she had her present and future boss draft a letter stating the move for job purposes.

She then recieved a call from a PF associate stating that everything was in agreement and to send a certain amount of money and the contract would be canceled which she did. You'd think they would have bent over backwords to help her out since she was an account in good standing, but No. A few days later, she gets another call from another associate saying that PF changed their mind that it was going to cost much more. She sent in everything that they said was going to be required and they in no uncertain terms screwed her. So, I call to help her out and get the long run around. "John" stated that letters with company letterhead couldn't be used because, as he put it. "Anybody can write a letter on company letterhead and sign the bosses name." and that only the 3 forms which they approve can be used and that the associate who called and left a message really never made the call.

Bottom line:
Not only were the associates unprofessional and gave cutomer NO service a new meaning, but John was extremely rude and condescending when he talked to me and my wife when he had no reason to be. Apparently we were under the misguided assumption that this was a reputable company. We most certainly stand corrected.

Do yourself a favor. Stay away from this company if you need a trainer. I am going to do whatever it takes to make sure these clowns don't screw another person out of their hard earned money. With them it's not a service they provide, but the money and only the money.
