Gold's Gym - Global Fitness Holdings
Continued to charge me after i moved to another country AND sold my contract to another person!

Health & Medicine

About 14 months ago i signed contract with the newly opened Gold's Gym, the contract was for two years. They specified that if i move more than about 30 miles from a gym, my contract could be canceled.

Well, in August i moved to china for about 4 months. Just before I left I sold my contract (in the gym with an employee) to a friend. I was there when they paid the first month's bill and was assured that it was out of my hands

For three months while i was gone i was continued to be charged the 44 dollars a month. When I called (from china) they told me the paperwork never got to Corporate. (I even had my plane ticket to show them, one way!)

Shortly thereafter the bank showed the auto-withdrawal has stopped, i found out this is because the gym apparently changed hands (it has a new name now) but i was still never refunded those three months. My friend also continued to pay for his membership as well.

They had one contract and were charging two people.

That is just bad business.
