Gold's Gym
Gold's Gym Max We signed a one year contract, once going into the gym they had us sign another contract tricking us into a 2 year contract

Health & Medicine

There were some attractive college kids outside a grocery store soliciting people to join Gold's Gym. I signed a one year contact and remmber stating we would try it for a year. We go into the Gym and the manager has us sign another contract becasue there was an error in the one we signed. He held the contract in half exposing where we sign, and since he was a friend of my brothers, I assumed all was ok. A year goes by and we cancel the membership by letter. We we notified at this time it that new contract was a two year contract. It was a bad deliberate trick. We were paying $49.99 a month for each of us, my wife and myself. This same month, they dropped the rates to $14.95 a month for memberships and continued to collect from us. Bad business. This seems to be happening in several other states.
