Sima Aidun
Doesn't like paying her bills

Sima Aidun engaged our services in 2007. She asked us to prepare sales tax reports, do payroll and accounting for her naturopath office. We had to do extra work to set up payroll - because of her legal status in this country she did not even have a valid tax id. We obtained one for her.

We provided what she asked for, but she abruptly cancelled our services after about six weeks.

We invoiced her, and she did not pay and did not respond UNTIL months later when we threatened to put her in collections. She had her office person then dispute the bill and ask for a detailed statement. She claimed we charged her for an office visit when in fact we did not, we charged her only for work performed. We sent her a bill showing that and she still refused to pay.

The sum is not a large amount, it is quite fair considering SIma Aidun is a perfect example of the 20-80 rule - 20% of your clients cause 80% of your headaches.
I am putting this out there just so others will be forewarned. Real professionals pay their bills and do not try to bargain down as if they were in the street markets of Tehran.
