Wu-Yi Source
Weight Loss Tea

Health & Medicine

Wu-Yi Source was a pop-up ad and claimed to be a easy weight loss aid. I went to the web site, which claimed that it was the same product as seen on CNN, Fox News, USA Today. They had an offer to try the product for $4.95 shipping which was $3.00. There was a 60 day money back guarantee if not satisfied. I needed to lose 10 lbs of holiday induldgence and I figured at most, I'm out $8.00, so I thought I'd try it.

When I received my order confirmation via email, I was then informed of the "Terms and Conditions" that I would be billed $37.00 after my "14 day trial period". Then they would auto ship tea every 60 days for $48.00. I began receiving multiple emails of encouragement even before I received my initial order. My intial order was placed on 12.22.07, but I didn't receive the order until 01.07.08. I wasn't sure when this trial period was to commence and I didn't want to be charged another $37.00 in the next few days.

I didn't even open or try the product. I just wanted to cancel my order.
I called the number provided in the package to cancel the order and got a message that cancellations must be received in writing via email and return instructions would be sent. I got no reply. I did some background checking on the company and decided that I got hood winked.

I contacted a customer service rep via the Live Chat option on the Wu-Yi Source website. I asked for instructions to return my un-opened box and to cancel any future shipments. I was asked why. I told them I didn't want to pay/participate. They then tried to re-itterate that I could cancel my order anytime after my first auto shipment. I told them I wanted to cancel now and that I would contact the attorney general's office. They then said they would cancel my membership (I didn't know I was joining when I ordered the product!) and provided a return address. 5300 Ontario Mills Parkway, unit 400, Ontario, CA 91764.

We'll see if they honor a credit. I will also file a complaint with my credit card company.
