The Garden City Hotel
Hotel refused to release my package!

My friend checked in at The Garden City Hotel in Long island NY. I ordered some stuff for her online and had it delivered at the hotel. The item arrived on the same day she was checking out. She went down to claim the package since USPS sent an email that it has been delivered already. The front desk refused to entertain her since it is not the time to release packages. I understand they have rules and policies but we were expecting some consideration since she is checking out already. They still didn't help her and refused to look for the package.

It is not their property and have no right to hold it in. My friend checked out without the package because they really won't give it. This is totally insane and over the top bad customer service. The package is still with them and we don't know how to get it back coz my friend is not from the U.S.

We were thinking of letting other friends near the area to just claim it for us but they said only the name on the package is allowed to claim it. But how can we claim it if we're not going back there! She is from Asia.

During her stay, she said the front desk were rude and not helpful at all. This kind of attitude needs reporting.
