A perscription was sent in by my doctor 2 months ago for a generic version of birth control, I picked up the perscription and was informed it works the same as my non-generic perscription and there would be no side effects. A week later I was being treated for shortness of breath and diagnosed as having bronchitis since I did not have any cold symptoms, a week later I began having numbness, tingling sensations and passing out. A trip to the ER, 2 weeks of heart tests and heart monitors to say nothing is wrong with my heart. I received a phone call this past Thursday informing me that I was given the wrong generic medication, when I informed the pharmacist of what was going on with me I was told it would not cause those symptoms and that the problem was fixed now. I contacted my doctor and was told the exact opposite, I then went onto the medication refrence on cvs.com and found out that ALL of the symptoms I was having are considered severe reactions to the drug. How could so little care or sympathy for the pain, doctor bills and lost wages occur in a company that is supposed to help ensure health. A claim has been put in with risk management and if the resolution is not the right one and quick a lawyer is going to be contacted.
