Storm Door Handle Fell Apart, Replacement Needs Serial Number

My EMCO storm door Store-In-Door handle fell apart. EMCO will not replace it without my providing a serial number.

The door I bought did not come with a serial number, so I am stuck with a defective door.

EMCO wants $50 to replace it.
