Glass in ice cream

I found 3 large chunks of glass in Bryers Neopolitan ice cream. I called the product safety phone number and was told it was probably just an isolated incident but they would forward my information to customer service, who would call me back the next day. No one called from Bryers, so I called the grocery store where I bought the ice cream, just to give them a "heads up", hopefully making sure no one else bought the same type of ice cream. I was told they can't do anything because it's Bryers problem not theirs. So, I called Bryers back, and the customer service rep acted very concerned, took all the necessary information, and said they will be sending a call tag for the ice cream box and glass pieces. I never received any call tag, nor did they ever get back to me. I then called the FDA to lodge a complaint, and they said it was unlikely they would launch an inspection since no one was hurt by the glass, but they might bring it up in the next scheduled inspection. I gave up... I took the ice cream, along with the glass pieces, back to the grocery store. The lady at the store who gave me my money back was horrified and just shook her head, saying "no one cares anymore". How apt... That says it all.
