Low Prices High Ripoff on Customer Service

I recently purchased a 19" Philips flat screen monitor from TheNerds.net for close to $600. It's a great monitor except for one problem&the built-in speakers don't work.
When I called to seek a solution, I was told that I had to pay to ship the monitor back to them, and wait until the following Monday for them to ship a new one to me.
When I explained that not only did I find it distasteful to pay twice for shipping on a purchase, I also can't be without my monitor for an extended period of time, the customer rep brusqely replied that was company policy. He then told me he would send an email with a return authorization and instructions.
I don't like the idea of paying twice to ship one item i purchased. I can't afford to be without my monitor for an unspecified amount of time. And I think that any company selling high dollar items should back up their products with similar customer service.
