Bill Me Later
Billed $969.75 for a July purchase with no details provided

Bill Me Later sent my wife a bill for $969.75 for something we were supposed to have purchased in July. We probably threw the first couple of bills away, thinking it was junk mail. We have no active accounts with PayPal or Bill Me Later. My wife had used PayPal to make an eBay purchase a few years back.

I called Bill Me Later to get more info on the purchase. They basically said that was internal information, just pay the bill or make a police report. My wife made a police report to the state police saying we got this bill, but we don't know if something was supposed to be shipped to us (Bill Me Later has that info, I think, but won't share).

My wife also sent a complaint to the WV State Attorney General. We have not been able to get a copy of the police report yet (we have a busy schedule during the week and they want $20 for a copy) and I don't think it will provide any info to anyone.

If Bill Me Later had helped me in any way to track this fraudulent billing, I would not be so furious about the situation. I would rather pay twice the amount above to a lawyer than pay anything to them. What options do I have?
