Best Buy (Reward Zone)
Ripoff no points rewarded

I purchased a camera at Best Buy for $350.00. With the reward zone program you a rewarded 100 points for every dollar spent. After 12,500 points a five dollar store certificate is issued.

The sale for the week included 100,000 bonus points with the purchase of the camera I bought. ($40 in reward zone certificates) Great deal! The next week Staples offered the same model camera for $250.00. Best Buy matches prices for up to 30 days. I got a rain check from Staples (One hour from where I live). I then called Best Buy where I purchased the camera and explained the situation. They told me to come in.

Upon arriving I handed the rain check to the associate I spoke with. He acted like I had not talk to him 45 mins prior. He calls the manager over who then calls Staples. He then explains that Best Buy will only price match for items a store has in stock. After a few minutes of pleading he still says no, but offers me 10% off for my trouble. Better than nothing! I ask the associate to make sure i will still receive all my points, "yea" he says with an attitude.

Fast foward a month. Still no 100,000 bonus points. So I email Best Buy reward zone and explain the situation. They email back saying I do not quailify for the bonus points because I returned and repurchase the camera outside the offer week. I explain it was a price adjustment and I was assured i would receive my points. Sorry there is nothing futher we can do, I'm told.

Now I'm out $40 bucks, and a multi-million dollar company is that much richer.in there emails they state "the importance of good customer service and how furstrating poor customer service can be." Pratice what you preach!
