Failed repairs

We bought an Assurant Options guarantee for the machine and dryer when completely new. Before three years were around, both had ceased functioning. The plan we bought was named "fix or substitute". Which means in my experience when them CAn't be fixed inside a fair time period, alternative is needed. It's been four weeks and numerous support calls and neither the machine or the dryer function sufficiently. Assurant claims they'll not substitute till we've had four support requires exactly the same problem within 12 weeks, atleast ninety days apart. This isn't printed on the site, and doesn't be seemingly something they advise the customer of in advance. Alternatively they've a cover statement stating alternative is likely to be at their sole discretion. Their guarantee of "fix or substitute" evidently indicates neither.
