Ordered piece of furniture and was told by instore salesperson that it would be between 10/12-10/18. On 10/5 I received an email from BestBuy indicating that furniture was shipped and provided me with UPS tracking number. Upon checking UPS site I learned that item would be delivered 10/10. Also the site stated that the sender could change the delivery date before first delivery but receipent could not change delivery date until first attempted delivery. I spent two days on the phone with Best Buy customer service asking them to notify UPS that 10/10 was not good. The employees with whom I spoke including supervisors were either unfamiliar with the process necessary to change delivery with UPS or indicated that it would probably take three days because the request to have UPS change date had to come from "THE BACK". When I reacted that this was not going to do the job and that the supervisor should be trying his hardest to satisfy the customer instead of having things go through channels to "THE BACK", he said that he would no longer help be because I was speaking rudely to him and hung up. One of these days all Best Buy personnel may be looking in from the outside and realize that this was the way Circuit City became so successful. Not.
