Ripoff Overdrawn account

To Whom it May Concern,

In late December of I attempted to purchase a cellular phone from Liberty Wireless in Largo, MD. After placing order, I received an e-mail almost 2 weeks later asking me to contact them for final verification to complete my order. I never did this because I chose to go with a different company. On 1/17/04 Liberty Wireless charge my bank account anyway $72.83 for a phone.

I Immediatly contacted them and they insisted that the phone was already shipped and that I needed to refuse delivery. However as a result of this unauthorized charge, I had 2 checks bounce in my account. During the entire time of processing my refund, I have had over $400.00 in over draft charges in my account. As we all know, once your account is negative any credits will be negated by the overdraft charges, unfortunatly I did not realize that this was occuring, as the company should have already credited me back the original charges.

Now after almost a month I still have not received my credit. I have faxed this company bank statements showing the overdraft charges and they have already agreed to return my funds, HOWEVER, they are giving me the run around, they will not let me speak to a supervisor, I have been hung up on, they will not provide a number to speak to the billing department who processes the refund.

I have contacted my local news station (WPRI 12 in Providence, RI) call for action team to assist me with this fradulent charge. I have also contacted the police department, the Attorney General's office in Massachusetts, and the FTC.
