After recently going through a divorce. I had been looking for a cell phone and a calling plan that would fit my budget and to also have for security reasons in case that I would break down on my way to work.

This is when I cam across the Liberty Wireless advertisement on the internet. So on Nov. 24th I placed an order giving my routing # and Acct# with my bank to pay for my order. They told me that I would receive my order Nov. 30th and could check the status of my order by going to www.whereismyorder.com

On Dec. 2nd when I did not receive my order I went online to check the status. They told me that they were in the process of receiving the funds from my account. THIS WAS A LIE! I check with the bank and the 29th they has withdrew the funds. A $191.67 to be exact. They drew on it twice. One being $95.61 & $96.06 Then I email them to find out what the charges were for?

This is when I also came across Rip-Off and started reading as to what has happen to other people and decided that it would be to my best interest to cancel my oder. The 12/2/04 I received a conf. That my orerd had been cancelled and there would be no charges made to my account (Which had already been done). That the amount would be back in my account 24 to 48 hours,

On 12/7/04 they e-mailed me in reference to my question as to why I was being charged twice and they said that it was for activity on my Liberty Wireless account. How could have there been activity when I had not even received my phone and had no phone #

Once again I tried to contact someone to get some answers and when I finally got to speak to a live person she told me that they were hired by Liberty Wireless as a 3rd party and she could not contact them directly but gave me a fax# to reach the billing dept.

I faxed them asking them that they reutn my money to my account or that I would be getting in touch with the Better Business Bureau. And that I could prove that I was not the only person that they had rip-off but there were several others. And that I would like for them to have their manager to call me Since I could not get in touch with him.

But to no avail! I have heard nothing and I still do not have my money back in my account! This has been a GREAT learning experience and a lesson well learned. A pre-paid phone from Wal-Mart would have been a lot cheaper and I would not now be in the financial bind that I have now aquired by Liberty Wireless. There has got to be a way to stop these people before they rip-off anymore people.
